Year 3 @Moorside visit Year 3@Westgate Hill to share their Scratch games

Moorside Year 3 were really excited to visit Westgate Hill Year 3. On arrival pairs from each schools were grouped up to collaborate as a group. They all had the opportunity to share their programming skills, talk about their experiences and have make new friends. 
They had 3 activities to complete in their groups.
Activity 1- To test out each other's games.
Activity 2- To have a go at the A.L.E.X. programming apps on the iPad.
Activity 3- Control a bluebot to complete a series of commands.















Year 4 and 5 at Moorside share their new programming skills.

Year 5 demonstrated how to set up Raspberry Pi and how to program their Pi to light up a single bulb.
Year 4 gave Year 5 a "crash course" on Lego Mindstorms robots, programming the robots to move around a track.




Westgate Hill's Year 6 visit the City Learning Centre to design information app.







Moorside Year 6 @The CLC- Designing their app

Year 6 learning how to design an app for visitors visiting the Arthurs Hill area using App Furnace. Students had to create pages for their app, add navigation button and created a map page with built in GPS. Clever stuff!
